Every once and again a couple will email me some photos - AND I GET SO GEEKED!!
It's not often I get to relive the ceremony in print and I adore seeing all the emotion and moments again. This very special couple had an amazing little girl who fluttered around during the ceremony, at one point she was in her daddy's arms - and I was so in love with the fact that they, as parents just took it all in stride. Their love for each other was evident, you could see the happiness and emotion on their faces and feel it in the air.
It was simply a pleasure to preside over their wedding vows!
Oh, and don't even get me started on this venue. It is the most amazing bed and breakfast and their ceremony location is one to beat for sure!
I give you this ring
as a symbol of my love and faithfulness.
As I place it on your finger,
I commit my heart and soul to you.
This is one of my all time favorite statements for the ring exchange ceremony. It's sweet and romantic and evokes a certain emotion of endless love and commitment.
There are so many options for choosing the right words to recite as you place the ring on your beloveds finger - you can search the internet, draw from poetry or create your own personal statement. Whichever you chose make sure the actual act of exchanging the rings is smooth and effortless.
As you place the ring on your loved one's finger, place it half way on and then recite the words, then place it the rest of the way on. This way you remain holding their hand for the entire process.
Look into their eyes as your saying the words - let them see your sparkle.
Lastly, if the ring gets stuck at the knuckle leave it where it lays and let the other person place it the rest of the way on - this way your not "shoving" the ring on their finger.
I hope these few tips help to create a magical wedding day for you.
Sometimes simple is best...or what you need right now anyway. My Justice of the Peace, michigan wedding license signing services are simple and effective at getting you married in the quickest and easiest way possible.
Simply give me a email or text or call and we will schedule a time to meet at a local restaurant. When we meet you will need to bring your marriage license (check out here how to apply) and two witnesses over the age of 18 to sign the license with us.
Upon meeting I will ask for a picture ID so I can verify the two of you are who is stated on the Michigan Marriage License and then I will fill in the blanks and sign the license, then the bride and groom will sign then the witnesses. I will then ask a simple question like "do you promise to honor each other and to help guide each other every day of your lives?" you respond with I/We do and then your legally married.
This is not a formal ceremony - but you can bring along the family and friends if you like - just let me know so I make sure we meet at an appropriate place - heck, get married and then celebrate with dinner or a toast!
Fee for this service is $75 and is limited to the Holly, Fenton, White Lake and Clarkston areas please.
