Anna and Derek were married on December 23, 2016 at Longacre House in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
The House is gorgeous with a lovely bring walkway leading to an appropriatley decorated double front door, it was so welcoming.
Once inside a grand staircases greeted me and the reception area was off to one side and just down the hall was the ceremony locaiton.
Anna and Derek wanted an intimate ceremony with just about 65 guest in attendance the atmosphere was warm and cozy and calm.
For the processional they chose to again keep it intimate and simple, with their parents already seated the processional began with their wedding party, two couples and then Anna and Derek made their entrance together...it was breath taking. It was also a very lovely statement, to enter into their marriage together from the very start and equal partners in their wonderful relationship.
I was honored to share their ceremony with them and to hear their guests little gestures of aww and see them wipe a tear of happiness away.
After the ceremony we met upstairs in the bridal suite to sign the license and then the two were off for a few family photos and to have a lovely dinner.
Thank you for choosing me to share your day with, it was such a joy to unite you in marriage - Nichole
This is a picture of downtown Holly, Michigan. It's where I live. The town is literally just like a postcard, cute as a button! It is also just like a hallmark movie, you know the ones where you walk into a shop and the owners greet you with warm smiles and as you walk downtown the kids are smiling, happy to hold open a door for you and the local tavern may even know you by name or the resale clothing store knows your kids sizes.
This is my town and I love it. There are local eateries, shops carrying antiques and repurposed goods, a bread shop and...best of all...a bakery by the name of Cupcakes and Kisses!
I have been visitng the bakery regulary, their carrot cake is by far my favorite! I'm not sure if I like the cake or the from scratch cream cheese frosting the best, but I know I absolutely adore the shop owners and bakers.
I've vistited the shop frequently to perform a quick justice of the peace signing. I like to bring couples to my town, to share with them a little piece of baked good heaven. And, the name is just so fitting.
Well, as luck would have it I recently discovered the shop which is closed on Sunday's actually will rent the space to the public on Sunday's! Yes - you can now rent the shop for your elopement ceremony. You can rent it for an hour to have the ceremony and celebrate with a cupcake or you can rent it for the day for a small gathering.
I am so excited about the opportunity to share this space with you. It is decorated perfectly for a elopement ceremony!
So, now I am happy to say Sunday elopements are happening. Like alway's I will keep it simple. Email or text me and I will help coordinate availability for you, me and the shop - I'll book the shop for us and just like that you can have a private elopement wedding ceremony. Remember to bring the marriage license at least 2 people over 18 years of age to witness and your loving smiles and I'll do the rest.
I am always excited to visit a new venue. Tonight I was at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle in Detroit Michigan. It was perfection! The venue has the most amazing stained glass site that was the back drop for the ceremony. And the reception room had an amazing view of the Detroit River.
The happy couple Chase and Danielle were quiet and sweet and so in love! It was a pleasure to share a piece of your happiness and to be able to join you as husband and wife. I wish you the most happily ever after!
Seems simple enough, call the courthouse, schedule a quick elopement or justice of the peace ceremony. But, did you know that not all courthouse's provide the service any more, and those that do often have a long waiting list (think months)...Yikes!
Rest assured, I can help! We can schedule your elopement ceremony outside of the courtroom - just pick a local venue, like a resteraunt or click here for suggestions, arrange for two other guests to attend with us as you will need two witnesses to sign the marriage license and just like that you are booked!
The bonus of booking with me is that you are not stuck in a courtroom! There are many great options for your ceremony location. Heck, you can even have an outdoor winter cermony - it only takes about 15 minutes for the entire ceremony and signing of the license.
So, if your ready to elope - just email me and we can get it scheduled!
Eloping in the winter can be easy and fun!
Pricing for my elopement package is $100 and includes performing a short and sweet ceremony for you, your spouse to be and your two witnesses (over 18 years of age) at a location of your choice in Holly or the general area.
Here are some suggested venues for your elopement ceremony:
Holly Hotel - it's a restaurant with a really great space (s) for a short ceremony
Captains Club of Woodfield-they have lovely spaces for a simple ceremony
Fenton Community Center - simply make a call, book a room and done
Laundry - for a nominal fee you can reserve their "laundry room" which is a sweet location
I am always willing to meet you at a local park such as Aaron Ganshaw Gazebo, the whole elopement cermeony and signing takes about 15 minutes (or less), so if your up for braving the cold you can save some money on the venue.
*Please keep in mind the fee of $100 is due in full in order to reserve your date and time; I will email you an invoice and youc an pay with credit card on line or call me with your payment information.
*I am not able to supply witnesses, the license requires two people over 18 present to sign the license with us.
*You must apply for and obtain your marriage license, I can not do this for you.
*You are welcome to invite more poeple, just keep in mind my fee will be $300 for the regular full ceremony. As well as inviting other guests you will receive a custom ceremony drafted just for you and I do travel all of Southeast Michigan - just email me for a quote.
